5 out of 5 stars Great New Mexico History   September 11, 2009

For anyone who loves New Mexico, this book is a real treat. It has the interesting history of the Ghost towns and near ghost towns that I found very informative. It was fun to read. This book is now out of print so get yours while some are still available. I wish I had this book when I was visiting many of the sites mentioned in the book.

5 out of 5 stars Places steeped in history   November 13, 2009
Marilyn S. Clark (Evergreen, Colorado United States)
This is a well researched book with lots of pictures and information not found in many books. I found it of particular interest because of the inclusion of, not only Shakespeare, but also Steins and Valedon, or, as we knew it "The Old 85". These were places where my brother, sisters, and I explored during formative years of our lives while our Father was stationed at the POW camp near Lordsburg, and reminisced about in our book "Outside the Fence: Stories of an Army Officer's Kids and WWW POW Camps". This book was a pleasant revisiting of places we loved.
This book provides nice glimpses into New Mexico's rich heritage.
