Customer Reviews:
4 out of 5 stars Quirky ... or perfectly normal?   January 29, 2010

We haven't been able to get out to Santa Fe for several months, and a friend sent me this little reminder of our second home. My immediate reaction was that I've become so much at home in our second home that many of the entries seem perfectly normal:

Doesn't every city burn up a huge marionette every September? (Santa Fe's version is called "Zozobra".)

Is there anything odd about a 15 foot tall roadrunner made out of Las Cruces garbage? (New York City has a statue made of recycled French metal.)

How about a big mud puddle, several volley balls, and 500 teams of crazed Albuquerque natives kicking them all around -- the Mudd Ball, of course.

There are dozens of other entries, and gee, they make me homesick. This travel guide arranges entries for each region of New Mexico and tells you how to get there. This book is great fun in either the glove comparment or on the bedside table.
